“My Wife Loves Jimmy G & Captain Jack Sparrow share the Week 4 MVP!”

Week 4 MVP Award Winners –
My Wife Loves Jimmy G & Captain Jack Sparrow (22 Points)

On a very difficult week to make picks, two players stepped up to score 22 Points and share the Week 4 MVP Award.  The first was My Wife Loves Jimmy G, a player that has been so utterly dominant over the first four weeks that he has been named the September Player of the Month Award winner.  My Wife Loves Jimmy G has also taken over 1st Place in the Current Standings.  It is remarkable that over a four week period, he has claimed 1 MVP Award & 2 MVP Award Runner-Ups.  The second was Captain Jack Sparrow, who has also been doing extremely well.  In fact, he has now risen to a tie for 3rd Place in the Current Standings.  Captain Jack warned club members on Club Chat that he had his sights set on sailing to the top of the club, when he said: “Aye, I be aimin’ fer the top spot this week with the Black Pearl and me shiny new cannons. So clear the decks, Black Pearl’s comin’ through, savvy?”  We all understand now after seeing Captain Jack Sparrow and The Black Pearl sailing right past most of us.  The Week 4 MVP Award Runner-Up was 2024 Club Champion Stinkerbell, who scored 21 Points to get herself into contention as she stands only 6 Points away from getting into the Top Five.  It is good to see her playing strong once again and making great picks.  A legendary NFL coach stopped by club headquarters and took note of all three players: My Wife Loves Jimmy G, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Stinkerbell and left a video message for them, which will be shared right here on the site in the next few days.  Who is this legendary NFL coach?  Stand by and you will soon find out.  Sadly, Bob Swerksi will be disappointed to find out that it is not Mike Ditka.  The Current Top Five consists of new #1 My Wife Loves Jimmy G, #2 MJD Hogg (5 Points back), tied for #3 Captain Insano & Captain Jack Sparrow (13 Points back), and #5 Mr. T (15 Points back).

“Bob Swerski delivers a huge 30 Points to win Week 3 MVP!”

Week 3 MVP Award Winner –
Bob Swerski (30 Points)

After the big win by the Chicago Bears last weekend, coach Ben Johnson was fired up in his postgame locker room speech.  He could be seen handing out a game ball to Caleb Williams for his 142.6 passer rating.  Next, he could be seen handing a second game ball out to Tremaine Edmunds for his two interceptions.  After the cameras were turned off, rumor has it that he also handed out a third game ball to Bob Swerski, who scored 30 Points to win the Week 3 MVP Award.  It was a huge week that Bob Swerksi badly needed, after he started this season (much like his Chicago Bears) struggling, but has now turned things around mightily.  Bob Swerksi has jumped up six spot in the standings, now sitting in 12th Place.  Let’s see if he can keep up the momentum this week.  The Week 3 MVP Award Runner-Up was My Wife Loves Jimmy G for the second time already this season.  He scored 28 Points, which has closed the First Place gap to a mere 2 Points.  A couple weeks ago, I had talked about how My Wife Loves was determined not to have a slow start to this season, and he has once again backed up his words with a strong showing.  I guess he will have bragging rights at tomorrow night’s meeting (not really, that’s just a joke).  In looking back at last week, a few players also really stood out.  Only three players managed to pick both Games of the Week correct with Chicago and SF:  Bob Swerski, Captain Insano & Drummer Boy.  Also, only one player correctly picked Detroit over Baltimore on Monday night and got the 6 Points:  Roadrunner.  As far as the current Top Five goes, it is #1 MJD Hogg (2 Weeks at #1), #2 My Wife Loves Jimmy G (2 Points back), #3 Roadrunner (10 Points back), and tied #4 Captain Insano & Mr. T (12 Points back).  There is also something called the Drummer Boy watch, which consists of keeping an eye on how he is doing every week.  Don’t look now, but he is only 3 Points away from getting back into the Top Five.
