Week 11 MVP Award Winner –
Stinkerbell (29 Points)
We have a changing of the guard this week after Stinkerbell scored 29 Points to win the Week 11 MVP Award. This is the second MVP Award this season that she has brought home to Pixie Hollow. Stinkerbell did this by only missing 2 games on the entire sheet. Thus, she swept the picks except for the Double Stakes & Triple Crown (as well as the Over/Under). And that means that Drummer Boy has awoken this morning to find a layer of golden, glitter-like powder all over his drum set which was left behind as Stinkerbell flew past him to claim 1st Place. Stinkerbell is a sixth year veteran of the club. And with the exception of last season (when she only peaked at #7), she has always reached a Peak Position of #1 or #2 at some point during the season. Now she can add this season to that list. However, she seems determined to end Drummer Boy’s 4-year mastery of the club and become the 2024 Club Champion. We will see what happens over the final seven weeks of the season in that regard. The Week 11 MVP Award Runner-Up was my neighbor Mr. T, who scored 27 Points. The only difference between Stinkerbell’s picks and Mr. T’s picks was that she selected Triple Jeopardy while he did not. Mr. T must have spent last week at Carson Pass Cabin because the peacefulness and beauty found there (from what I’ve heard) can be just what is needed to have a clear mind and make outstanding picks. And with that, Mr. T has firmly established himself as a Top Five player this season. Taking a look at the current Top Five, we have new #1 Stinkerbell (1 Week at #1), #2 Drummer Boy (1 Point back), #3 My Wife Loves Jimmy G (3 Points back), #4 Bob Swerski (15 Points back), and #5 Mr. T (17 Points back). It is a tough task right now for anyone else to enter the Top Five, because there is a 9 Point gap between 5th and 6th Place.
Also of note is that this is the final week of Head to Head Weekly before the prestigious Super Bowl Tournament begins. And there is a lot on the line this week with all four Division titles up for grabs. We have Captain Jack Sparrow vs. Drummer Boy (for Division One title), Mr. T vs. Hoosier Daddy (for Division Two title), My Wife Loves Jimmy G vs. Nighthawk (for Division Three title), and Stinkerbell vs. Shaylene (for Division Four title).
